Safety
Utah has one of the lowest violent crime rates in the United States (42nd lowest), and St. George (along with the nearby cities of Santa Clara, Ivins, and Hurricane) are among the safest cities in Utah. UT also has a police force dedicated to serving the campus, and is ranked in the top 40 safest campuses in the United States.
Student services
International Student Services (ISS) works hand in hand with the UT-ESL program to ensure that our students are taken care of. ISS provides the following and more:
- Personal help with admissions and enrollment
- Orientation on succeeding as an international student in the United States
- Planned trips and activities
- Support with all aspects of cross-cultural adjustment
- Academic planning and advising
- Training and support with Immigration compliance issues
