The fair organizing committee has designed the competitive events around the principle of language proficiency as developed by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Teachers in each school will assess students and place them in one of four categories: beginners, intermediate, advanced or superior. Students will compete in their respective levels of proficiency against all students of the same level. It is up to the teachers to properly place students, so students will not face insurmountable odds or discourage the competition of other students.

Please return to this page on March 9, to register for the Spanish Fair.

Registration opens on March 1, 2019.

Fee: $5.00 per student.

Teacher registration guidelines:

  • Decide which students will participate in the fair from your school.
  • Determine which level your students should participate in: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
  • Collect registration fees from your students: $5 per student.

Submit the registration form and payment for your school through DSU’s online enrollment portal. Most major credit cards are accepted. Once we have processed the enrollment form and payment, we will provide you with a receipt and other materials, as necessary.
